Effective date: August 26, 2026
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) are an agreement between you and Adam LaFave, the operator of Made Today (“Made Today,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). They govern your use of the Made Today iPhone app, widget, accounts, support pages, and related services (collectively, the “Service”).
By creating an account, signing in, or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1. App license and Apple terms
The Made Today app is licensed, not sold. Your license to the iOS app is governed by Apple’s Standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement (“Apple Standard EULA”) and Apple’s Usage Rules. These Terms govern Made Today’s account-backed Service and supplement, rather than replace, the Apple Standard EULA. If these Terms conflict with the Apple Standard EULA about the license to the app, the Apple Standard EULA controls.
Apple is not responsible for operating or supporting Made Today. Questions, complaints, or claims about the Service should be directed to Made Today through the contact method in Section 16.
2. Eligibility and adult responsibility
You must be at least 18 years old or the age of legal majority where you live and legally able to enter into these Terms. Made Today is designed for parents, guardians, educators, and other adult caregivers—not for children to create accounts or use independently.
If you add a child’s or another person’s name, artwork, image, voice, writing, or other information, you represent that you have the rights and authority needed to collect, store, organize, and share it as you direct through the Service. If you use Made Today for a school, childcare provider, or other organization, you are also responsible for that organization’s notices, permissions, records rules, and legal obligations; Made Today does not enter an institutional or student-data agreement merely because an educator uses the consumer app.
3. Accounts and security
You must provide accurate account information and keep your device, email account, Apple Account, storage accounts, and sign-in methods secure. You are responsible for activity performed through your account and for promptly reporting suspected unauthorized access.
Do not share a sign-in code or provider credential. Archive invitations and one-use join codes may be used only by the intended recipient. You may not access another person’s account or archive without authorization.
4. The Service and user-controlled storage
Made Today scans or imports artwork, stores organizing metadata, and helps authorized users find and manage files. Full-resolution artwork begins in private app storage on your device and may be saved to iCloud Drive, Dropbox, or Google Drive when you select that provider.
You authorize Made Today to create, read, copy, organize, move, verify, and—only when an authorized user expressly requests deletion—delete managed files in the selected archive location. Changing the location for new scans does not move existing files unless the app offers a separate migration flow and you choose to use it. A migration may copy files and update references while leaving source files in place for you to remove later.
Storage services have their own availability, permissions, limits, recovery behavior, charges, and terms. You are responsible for maintaining enough storage space, a working provider account, appropriate folder permissions, and any independent backup you want.
5. Your content
“Your Content” means artwork, scans, photos, videos, audio, names, recognized text, titles, notes, tags, and other material you or an authorized archive member provides through the Service. As between you and Made Today, you retain ownership of Your Content.
You grant Made Today a limited, nonexclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, process, reproduce, transmit, and display Your Content only as reasonably necessary to operate, secure, troubleshoot, and support the Service at your direction. This license ends when the relevant content is deleted, except for temporary backups, security records, or retention required by law. Made Today does not acquire a right to publish Your Content, sell it, advertise against it, or use it to train machine-learning models.
You are responsible for Your Content, including its legality, accuracy, and the rights and permissions required to use it. Do not use the Service for content that infringes intellectual property, privacy, publicity, confidentiality, or other rights.
6. Shared archives
An archive owner can invite contributors or viewers. A contributor may add or change content; a viewer receives read-only access through Made Today. The owner controls archive membership, but access to an iCloud Drive, Dropbox, or Google Drive folder is a separate permission controlled through that provider.
Owners are responsible for inviting the correct people, assigning appropriate roles, and managing provider-folder access. Members must keep family content private, use it only as authorized, and stop accessing it when their permission ends. Removing a Made Today membership may not remove a copy someone already downloaded or access separately granted by the storage provider.
7. Free allowance and Made Today Unlimited
The free offering allows up to 25 successfully saved artwork pieces. Multiple pages grouped into one piece, a front and back saved together, and later replacement versions of an existing piece do not each count as a new piece. Failed or cancelled saves do not count, and deleting a piece reduces the saved-piece count. Existing content remains available to view, search, share, export, and delete after the free limit is reached.
Made Today Unlimited is a one-time, non-consumable Apple In-App Purchase that removes Made Today’s piece-count limit for future saves. “Unlimited” does not remove device, network, provider storage, file-size, fair-use, or technical limits. Apple displays and charges the localized price and controls payment, taxes collected through the App Store, refunds, purchase approval, offer codes, and entitlement restoration.
Apple Family Sharing may share an eligible purchase entitlement. It does not share a Made Today archive, account, or cloud-storage folder. Archive invitations are managed separately. You can use Restore Purchase in Settings, and a verified entitlement may be cached on the device for temporary offline use.
We may change future offerings or prices, but we will not hide or delete content you already saved solely because an offering changes. Refund requests for App Store purchases must be made through Apple, subject to Apple’s rules and applicable law.
8. Acceptable use
You may not:
- use the Service unlawfully or violate another person’s rights;
- upload, store, or share content you are not authorized to possess or process;
- harass, exploit, impersonate, or endanger another person;
- introduce malware or harmful code;
- probe, scan, disrupt, overload, or bypass the Service’s security or access controls;
- scrape, automate, or send abusive traffic except through an interface we expressly provide;
- reverse engineer or circumvent the app except to the extent applicable law expressly permits; or
- use the Service to build a competing dataset or train a machine-learning model from content you are not independently authorized to use for that purpose.
We may investigate suspected misuse and take proportionate steps to protect users, providers, and the Service.
9. Third-party services
Apple, iCloud Drive, Supabase, the configured email provider, Sentry, Dropbox, and Google provide parts of the Service. Your use of their products is also subject to their terms and privacy policies. You must comply with applicable third-party account, network, and storage terms.
Made Today is not responsible for a third party’s outage, account action, changed API, storage limit, lost provider access, or independent handling of files, except to the extent applicable law provides otherwise.
10. Made Today intellectual property and feedback
The Service, including its software, design, text, graphics, trademarks, and other materials we provide, is owned by Made Today or its licensors and is protected by intellectual-property law. Except for the licenses expressly granted by the Apple Standard EULA and these Terms, no rights are transferred to you.
If you voluntarily provide feedback or suggestions, you allow us to use them without restriction or compensation, but you do not transfer ownership of Your Content.
11. Availability, changes, and backups
We may update, add, change, suspend, or discontinue a feature to improve or secure the Service, comply with law, or respond to a provider change. We will use reasonable care and, when practical, provide notice before a material discontinuation that affects access to stored metadata.
The Service may be interrupted by maintenance, network conditions, device limitations, provider outages, or events outside our reasonable control. Automatic recognition, duplicate detection, file checks, and suggestions can be incomplete or inaccurate. Review important information before relying on it.
Made Today is an organizer, not your only backup system. Keep any independent copies appropriate for your family. The readable files in your chosen storage provider are intended to remain usable without Made Today, but you are responsible for the continued availability and backup of that storage account.
12. Suspension, termination, and account deletion
You may stop using the Service, leave a shared archive if permitted, or delete your account at any time. An owner must transfer ownership or delete each owned archive before deleting the owner account. Deleting an archive or account removes the corresponding Made Today metadata as described in the Privacy Policy, but does not delete artwork files stored on the device or by iCloud Drive, Dropbox, or Google Drive. Delete those files separately if you no longer want them.
We may limit, suspend, or terminate access if reasonably necessary to address a material or repeated violation of these Terms, protect users or the Service, comply with law, or discontinue the Service. Where practical and lawful, we will provide notice and an opportunity to export accessible information or correct the issue.
Sections that by their nature should survive termination—including ownership, disclaimers, liability limits, and dispute terms—will survive.
13. Disclaimers
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Service is provided “as is” and “as available.” Made Today disclaims implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or compatible with every future device or provider change, or that automatic analysis or a third-party storage service will always preserve or recover a file.
These disclaimers do not limit an express warranty or non-waivable consumer right that applies to you. The Apple Standard EULA describes Apple’s limited refund responsibility if the app fails to conform to an applicable warranty.
14. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Made Today will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, opportunities, goodwill, or data arising from the Service. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Made Today’s total liability for all claims relating to the Service will not exceed the greater of (a) the amount you paid for Made Today during the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim or (b) US $100.
These limits do not apply to liability that cannot legally be excluded or limited, and they do not reduce mandatory consumer remedies.
15. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by California law, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, except that mandatory consumer protections in your place of residence continue to apply. Before filing a formal claim, you and Made Today agree to make a good-faith effort to resolve it informally by contacting the other party and allowing 30 days for a response, unless immediate action is necessary or law gives you another right.
Nothing in these Terms requires arbitration, prevents an eligible small-claims filing, or limits a right that cannot be waived.
16. Changes, general terms, and contact
We may update these Terms as the Service or law changes. We will post the updated Terms, change the effective date, and provide additional notice when required. If a material change requires your agreement, we will request it. Otherwise, continued use after the new Terms take effect constitutes acceptance.
If a provision is unenforceable, it will be limited to the minimum extent necessary and the remaining provisions will remain effective. A failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. You may not transfer your account or these Terms without our consent; we may transfer these Terms as part of a reorganization or sale of the Service, subject to applicable law. These Terms, the Privacy Policy, and the Apple Standard EULA are the entire agreement governing the Service unless separate written terms apply.
Questions, complaints, and claims may be sent through the Support & FAQ link in Made Today Settings or through the developer contact shown on Made Today’s App Store product page.
